Acupuncture is an ancient healing modality that falls under the umbrella of Chinese Medicine. Drawing from wisdom of over 5000 years, acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are designed to stimulate the body’s own innate ability to heal.

Acupuncture at Aum Holistic Healing ArtsDrawn to acupuncture while living in Sri Lanka, I returned to the States to pursue my Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a three and a half year intensive program, at Bastyr University.  I graduated in December 2012 after completing a 5 week intensive externship program of study in China (in the cities of Cheng Du and Shanghai).

Starting in May 2017, I expanded to serve two locations in Wallingford:

I see clients at my private practice on Burke Avenue North as well as at Natural Rhythms Integrative Medicine (NRIM) Clinic located at 3876 Bridge Way North, Suite 300.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, at a foundation level, are preventative in nature.  However, in American culture, tend to fall into the same rhythm as Western medicine, that of being responsive.  Wherever you are at in your healing process, acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can offer valuable support.

Establishing a wellness plan can be a powerful testament to your health and well-being.  Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are transformative tools and strongly compliment other healing practices.

I welcome working with individuals committed to self-care and improving their health and well-being.  My ideal clients are those who are dedicated to making positive change in their life and believe acupuncture and Chinese medicine can contribute to their health and well-being to support the positive change they seek.

If specific conditions are impacting your sense of focus, strength, well-being, or resolve, we can target treatment to address these needs.  Some conditions I enjoy helping clients unravel and overcome include:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Migraines/Headaches
  • Brain surgery/brain injury/concussion

Acupuncture is most widely known to help with pain and is a recommended alternative to the opiod epidemic in the United States.  A few specific pain patterns I often help clients overcome:

  • Shoulder pain
  • Low back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Sciatica

Motor Vehicle Accidents can have a significant effect on those impacted.  If you or someone you love has been involved in a car accident and is seeking help, consider acupuncture as an option!  Acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy can help improve the body’s ability to overcome pain and heal.  Acupuncture also has a remarkable way of helping the body and mind relax and regain a sense of balance from what can often be a traumatic experience.

I welcome clients who pay out-of-pocket at time of service.  For those who prefer to use insurance, I am currently credentialed with the following insurance providers:

  • Premera
  • Lifewise
  • Aetna
  • Am Better

For any other plan, I will gladly provide a claim for reimbursement, but you should be aware of what your coverage is and recognize that you are responsible for any portion of the fee not paid by your insurance company.
